Kirsty and James

Kirsty and James were married in stylish and modern surroundings at Sketchley Grange in Leicestershire. It was a day that featured laughter, love and fantastic dancing.

Here is their story…

It was early, the weather could be adequately described as “British” and Kirsty was having her makeup done.

Add to this, the bridesmaids having their hair done by a lovely hairdresser, another trying to straighten an excited flowergirl’s hair, while yet more children sit on the bed watching videos and listening to music and other bridesmaids sit talking excitedly with a drink.

It was rather lively…

…while Kirsty was busy with hair, makeup, dresses, flowers and jewellery, James was also preparing. Together with his groomsmen, they were putting the finishing touches to their outfits before enjoying a last drink in Sketchley Grange’s bar. The mood here was equally upbeat, with a tangible undercurrent of excitement dominating the conversation…

…Everyone was smiling, conversation and laughter flowed freely while James began to show the tiniest hint of nerves, biting his lip and pacing the room as the last guests entered and the doors were shut…

…the doors opened, and the bridal party stepped inside. Little flowergirls looking up nervously at the sea of faces as they scattered petals, older bridesmaids followed, one holding the hand of a pageboy who clutched a sign tightly.

All these were followed by Kirsty who could do nothing but smile, beaming as she looked straight towards the man she was about to marry…

…When she started to dance the crowd turned silent. She leapt and tumbled through the air in front of the guests moving from one side of the room to the other, and when she finished , James rushed onto the dance floor to thank her before taking the hand of his wife and starting their own first dance.

They held eachother tightly as they rotated, dancing together with smiles of pure joy on their faces. Then with a wave they called their guests up, filling the dance floor with their friends and letting the real party begin…
